Federal government investors’ drive is set to get a boost Monday as Nigeria’s investment flagship, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) hosts a three day investment submit from 21-23 May, 2017.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who is expected to declare the event open, will also deliver the key note address, while the Chief host is Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelama.
BusinessDay Media and the National Bureau of Statistics ( NBS) are partnering with the NIPC on the event that is expected to bring together, well over 100 Domestic Direct Investors ( DDI) as well as Foreign Direct Investors ( FDI), according to the NIPC Deputy Director in charge of Strategic Communications, Gana Wakil.
The event tagged ” Direct Investors’ summit, Nigeria, 2018,” will attract policy makers and investors , with the view to bringing long term invests into critical sectors of the economy.
The major areas of focus , according to Wakil, will include agriculture, manufacturing, transport, power, gas, processing and information technology, amongst others.
The investment agency was established to amongst other things create investments awareness on the country’s investment climate and opportunities with a view to generating awareness and attracting investments to Nigeria.
