As part of the strategic plan to open up the Lekki-Epe corridor, the Lagos State Government and two development partners on Tuesday launched the construction of a new city within the Lekki Free Zone.
Christened Alaro City, the new city will occupy 2,000 hectares of land. The development partners are North West Quadrant Development Company FZC and Rendeavour.
Lagos State Governor Akinwumi Ambode said the project, which was conceived by the state government, would be available to house numerous workers that shall soon be working along that axis.
Chief Audu Ogbeh, Minister of Agriculture, who lauded the project, charged the incoming government in the state to ensure full realisation of the housing project.
